GreenCars started in 1999 after founders Shelly Po and Jamie Mann had a conversation with a mutual friend, who will remain nameless for legal reasons, realized there was a need for environmentally conscious drivers and it wasn't going to happen on its own.

After long hours of discussion it became apparent that the idea, originally, suggested by Shelly was their new passion. They began working tirelessly to gather funds for their company. They collected so much they covered their bills by more than 200% and somehow did not post a profit that year. Ultimately paving the way for the non-profit to get up and running.

They now travel the country helping to provide driver awareness in eco hotspots such as LA, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Florida, South Padre Island and more.
